Whale catching

From July to September, every day by prior arrangement. For children aged 5 and over.

Madagascar law prohibits swimming with whales.

Les Villas de Vohilava

Between July and September, humpback whales come from Antarctica to the warm waters of Madagascar to mate and give birth. The Sainte-Marie channel is an exceptional place to observe them. At Bora Dive, the outing is supervised by an eco-volunteer trained by the CétaMada association. Thanks to this sea trip, you are actively contributing to the protection of these marine mammals and to the funding and collection of scientific data.

You can attend a free conference on humpback whales and marine mammals at one of our two partners, Les Villas de Vohilava and Princesse Bora Lodge & Spa. These conferences, which are open to the general public (entrance fees apply), take place several times during the season and are announced on their respective social networks.

Make sure you have everything you need for your outing : hat, sunglasses, sun cream, towel and bottle of water. If you feel seasick, please let the team know beforehand.
